We are looking for an experienced professional who can develop our FMCG Sales and Distribution Business in Rwanda as well as appoint sub-distributors/generate sales in other East African countries
This is a full-time position initially based in Dubai with frequent travel to end markets (at least once a month)
Eventually, the position will be based in Africa full time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the distribution strategy, create a business plan and organize core team to manage the FMCG distribution business
- Develop partnerships with Key accounts across various sales channels – Hypermarket/Supermarkets, Wholesalers etc in East Africa
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the business.
- Identify potential customers, sub distributors and pitch them the brands in our portfolio.
Required Skills:
- 4-5 years of FMCG Distribution experience with 2-3 years of experience in East Africa preferred
- Excellent understanding of FMCG Distribution Business in Africa
- Ability to lead a team of 5-10 people and manage daily operations of the business.
- Motivated, well-organized individual who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with customers
- Willing to work in an entrepreneurial environment; taking on multiple responsibilities as the business expands its presence
- Excellent communication and team management skills.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- East Africa based FMCG distribution: 1 year (Required)
