About:
WilmingtoNColor is the only shuttle tour in the world that tells the detailed story of the only successful Coup De Tout on US Soil. At each tour stop, patrons will learn about prominent African American figures in Wilmington’s history. We are currently seeking knowledgeable, professional and friendly tour guides to help us tell this story – by facilitating the tour and providing an exceptional experience.
The role of the tour guide is essential to WilmingtoNColor. If you enjoy leading discussions around historical information and providing outstanding customer service, we invite you to share your talents and skills with WilmingtoNColor.

Job Type: Full-time
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly study all tour stops and obtain an in-depth understanding
- Clearly articulate and provide information to guests in an enthusiastic and engaging manner
- Provide accurate responses to guest inquiries
- Actively serve as primary facilitator of the tour to include: escorting guests an initiating breaks (as-needed)
- Consistently displays exceptional “people skills” by demonstrating professionalism and kindness
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- An Associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of two (2) years of exceptional customer service experience
- Public speaking experience is a plus
- Stellar communication skills
- Ability to memorize and retain detailed information
- Strong interpersonal skills
