Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive payment by cash, credit cards, and cheques.
- Regularly check the reservation book for next guest reservations
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
- Following the company SOP on finalizing a bill and following the correct procedure.
- Calculate total payments received during a period and reconcile this with total sales.
- Compute and record totals of transactions.
- Issue receipts or change due to customers.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
- Welcome customers entering the establishments.
- Ensure that everything guests will be needing is in order and clean, and all station set up is full before service.
- Answering the phone in a professional manner and taking guest bookings, in an accurate way obtaining all information.
- Welcoming all guests that enter the venue and inform them of all offerings and manage their expectations.
- Inform the Duty manager of the reservations, including any special requirements.
- Ensure the seating plan is ready for the shifts, and the table layouts are in the correct formation.
