Reporting to the Survey Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with construction at multiple mining sites around the state of Western Australia.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Diploma of Applied Science, Mine Surveying, Land/Engineering Surveying or equivalent
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in field exploration programs
  • A commitment to health, safety, environment and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Computer literacy in Civilcad, Autocad, Surpac, Vulcan and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to pass a full medical and DnA
  • National Police Clearance Certificate
  • Current Manual “C” Class WA Drivers Licence
  • To work on FIFO mine sites

The Role / Responsibilities:

  • Performing survey requirements on mine sites for projects & operations.
  • Surveying and coordinating the work of Surveying or Spatial Science Technicians in the production and reproduction of geographical products.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data to design maps, graphs, plans, drawings and three dimensional models using geographical information & related systems.
  • Evaluating, compiling, and maintaining spatial information using a range of digital and graphical source materials, including aerial photographs, satellite imagery, survey documents, existing maps and records, historical data, reports and statistics.
  • Preparing site plans and survey reports required for conveyancing and land ownership matters.
  • Compiling and evaluating data, interpreting codes of practice, and writing reports concerning survey management, land use and tenure.
  • Operate in accordance with all applicable health & safety policies
