Roots Community Birth Center is looking for a Staff Midwife

Location: Minneapolis, USA
Qualifications:
- Must be a CPM or CNM licensed in the State of MN
- Must be current in CPR and NRP
- Must be versed in anti-oppression, anti-racism, and multicultural midwifery service
- Experience in both home and birth centre birth.
- Able to use electronic charting software
- Reliable transportation and ability to get to birth centre within 30 minutes during on-call shifts
- Must be able to perform well person sample collection, phlebotomy, IV’s, suture of 1st and 2nd degree lacerations
- Cell phone in operational order and internet access at home
- CV, diplomas, licenses, and certifications on file
- Background check and references
Responsibilities:
- Take 2-3 call shifts a week
- Staff clinic and or postpartum 1-3 shifts a week
- Attend births in the birth centre
- Provide continuity of care in transfer situations
- Complete all charting in a timely manner
- Participate in staff meetings
- Participate in peer review, chart review and other duties as assigned
- Maintain CEU’s and credential in good standing
- Participate in social justice training as scheduled
- Supervise students as necessary
- Maintain professional reputation in community
- Open and close clinic and cleaning duties as assigned
