Interactive Media is looking for Social and Digital Marketing position
About:
We are a bespoke digital agency (offices in Somerset West) servicing clients around the country (from the pet industry, gambling, food, and e-commerce). We provide exceptional, personalized services, assisting each client’s growth (reach and sales) and online reputation via a range of digital channels (Social media, website management, blogs, SEO, Emailers, SMSs, Google Ads, etc.). We eat and sleep each of our brands and we are looking for a like-minded junior social and digital media manager to join our team. Ideally someone young, current, and experienced in managing businesses/client accounts with digital know-how.
Requirements:
- A good understanding of computers (Windows), mobile devices (Android & IOS), and design platforms (Canva, Photoshop, Corel, etc.) Have a proven track record of running a business’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Tik Tok).
- Experience in running social ADs – Google ads to your advantage.
- Strong verbal/telephonic & copywriting skills.
- A second language would be a bonus.
- Driver’s license.
- At least a Matric certificate with fair grades.
- Ability to multitask & adapt with strong attention to detail.
- Generally, act in a manner and with an attitude befitting the culture of the business (we go the extra mile).
Duties include:
- Monitor client industry trends, and competitors and create content plans and schedules.
- Respond to all email, social, chat, and telephonic requests timeously and professionally.
- Create engaging copy for social posts and blogs. Managing social ads via Facebook AD manager and social CRM tool.
- Form partnerships with local groups, affiliated/complimentary brands, and influencers.
- Support our client’s requests for content creation or changes. Compile analytics and reports.
- Assist the team where necessary.
- A bonus: Experience in the sports industry, pet industry, and proven e-commerce conversion.
- Web development and a design eye.

- Salary Offer The successful candidate will be offered a 3-month trial with permanent employment thereafter. A market-related salary is on offer (R10,000-R15000p/m depending on experience). Unlimited smoothies, toasts, sweets, coffees & teas all day every day.
- Working Hours Schedule: 08:00- 17:00 (we often work late and weekends remotely).
