Description:

Cee Cee’s Closet NYC is a Brooklyn based, fabulous e-boutique that specializes in African-inspired clothing and accessories. We are seeking an assistant to assist with our rapidly growing e-commerce brand.

As our assistant, you will update social networks, create mobile friendly video, and curate content to gain new followers. You will also create new social marketing campaigns, build brand recognition, and manage all published company content. While working with web analytic tools to track campaign progress and researching industry trends, you will maintain an active social presence and reply to customer inquiries.

In addition to these responsibilities, we will need assistance with order fulfilment, ironing clothes, packaging products, and maintaining spreadsheets. Occasionally, there will be client facing opportunities at pop-up shopping events as well.

A successful assistant will also be able to assemble press kits, send out customer surveys, assist in creating marketing campaigns for email and social media, assist in creating social media content and conduct media research. It is essential that applicants to this position have strong communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure every order placed ships quickly and correctly
  • Operate handling equipment and ensure that safety regulations are followed
  • Plan and monitor product storage
  • Package materials securely in boxes and polyamines to make certain there would be no shift during transportation
  • Quantifying and exceeding daily ironing quotas
  • Label, seal, and package clothes and accessories
  • Oversee stock replenishment
  • Load delivery vehicles
  • Work within efficient systems and precisely execute our processes, while contributing to improve those processes
  • Perform other general office duties as needed
  • Develop and implement social media brand strategies, campaigns, and plans to build brand/company awareness
  • Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency with content calendars
  • Create, maintain, and grow new and existing social networks, including Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Tiktok
  • Manage company blog and editorial calendar that aligns with social updates
  • Incorporate optimization strategies, analyze data, and research best ways to increase traffic
  • Build a library of stock photos, videos, and memes
  • Create visuals for social media
  • Promote content and discussion in Facebook groups
  • Review success of campaigns and develop ways to improve
  • Resolve customer issues through social media
  • Create engaging written and visual content for blog
  • Research new media platforms, trends, and industry opportunities
  • Provide feedback from social media trends and research; relay it to senior staff
  • Write effective, concise copy for multiple platforms, websites, and social networks
  • Coordinate speaking engagements, appearances, photoshoots, and pop-up shop events
  • Provide excellent customer service during pop-up shop events
  • Manual dexterity to sew, trace patterns, complete alterations and perform fittings

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
  • Experience identifying and creating campaigns for target audience
