Description:

Sales Support Associates are responsible for positioning Healthfirst as a socially responsible health partner. Will develop and coordinate a comprehensive strategy that promotes company-wide enrolment through promotions, events, sponsorships, and collaboration with like-minded partners. The representative will work closely with Medicare Sales Managers and representatives to increase awareness, knowledge of Healthfirst’s products and services, and to also increase Healthfirst’s market-share in the territory. Identify enrolment events opportunities for seniors-individually or in groups-to promote alternative plan options. Through community marketing she/he will have a direct impact on membership growth and retention. Using innovative and strategic growth plans developed in collaboration with the sales team, Sales Support Associates will have the ability to join a team dedicated to helping some of the most vulnerable populations in New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Events, presentations, and enrolment opportunities are coordinated by Sales Support, as directed by the Sales Managers, to execute, plan, and coordinate resources so that they can ensure a successful event.
  • Live our mission, our members are our North Star, and our mission is guided by their needs and preferences in ensuring a superior experience and access to the highest quality healthcare when and where they need it.
  • Sales Support has the primary responsibility of connecting Healthfirst with community-based organizations, community health centers, NYCHA, community providers, faith-based organizations, community boards, and city agencies; and develop events and/or opportunities per months for the sales representatives which they support.
  • Monitor and document ongoing Field activity with relation to agents
  • Establish new relationships and maintain existing ones
  • Support the Sales and Marketing team to create educational and sales events within our target market
  • Work closely with Sales Managers to develop strategic plans of action and understand the needs of the sales team
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding growth and retention expectations
  • Prepare weekly and monthly events calendars, managed care reports, order supplies for events and submit monthly expense reports. Prepare weekly calendar of appointment and opportunities as required.
  • Facilitate Broker training/Lunch and learn
  • Identify Broker field activity
  • Track broker sale
  • Serve as direct contact for broker
  • Assist with Epaces, Marx, Supplies, and Equipment
  • Perform spot checks and complete a Broker Field Evaluation Form

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to travel 75% of the time.
  • Must have an insured vehicle and valid license.
  • HSD or GED equivalent
  • Experience in Sales (i.e. retails, product, etc.), Marketing and/or Community Outreach Programs.
  • Existing Sales or Customer Service-related experience dealing with direct to consumer and/or business to business interactions either over the phone or in-person.
  • Experience speaking with multi-level audience that can include faith-based leaders, elected officials, c-level executives, healthcare professionals, or hospital administrators, etc.
  • Experience managing multiple marketing events, including changing deadlines, from beginning to end.
  • Experience working across socio-cultural and ethnic backgrounds and environments.
  • Experience with basic Microsoft Excel functions to include sorting, filtering, and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Experience with creating Microsoft Word documents and merging them with existing Excel spreadsheets to create email blasts, maintain event guest lists and document all tracking forms.
  • Experience making modifications and updates to existing Power Point presentations.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends (as needed).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree from an accredited institution.
  • Knowledge of CMS rules and regulations.
  • Experience using AX DYNAMICS, Great Plains and any Imaging Systems.
  • Fluency in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, Cantonese/Mandarin, Fukienese, African dialects, South Asian dialects.
  • Excel experience standardizing reports across multiple sheets, utilizing VLOOKUP’s and functions/formulas, creating, using, and interpreting pivot tables, filtering, and formatting to generate desired results.

License/Certification: Must have vehicle and current Drivers’ License
