Experience in sales and marketing, preferably in chemical products and related goods

Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent

Summary Profile:

  • Marketing and Sales of Chemical products and business development in the Middle East & African markets with a proactive and action-oriented manner.
  • Endeavor to achieve new trading business in line with the Chemical Division’s direction.
  • To research the market’s demand in Chemical segments in the EMEA region proactively to make new business.
  • To create and/or enhance relationships with management level of local companies in line with the division’s direction supporting GM.
  • Support Middle East Chemical team management sharing knowledge/information to other members in Middle East and Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing and sales of Chemical products, researching markets and negotiating with the possible customers/suppliers with intensive negotiation skill to establish new business.
  • Keeping a good relationship with the customers/suppliers and negotiating with them in good manner to expand the business.
  • Business development including negotiation with local customers, communication with global staffs.
  • Carrying out risk management of relevant business with necessary arrangements under internal regulations.
  • Reporting market situation and contract positions in timely manner.
  • Support GM for overall business activities and to develop team members to enhance the division’s work force.

Relationships:

  • Chemical products suppliers/customers, logistics/Insurance companies, agents/consultants etc.
  • Counterpart staffs of headquarter, overseas units, and subsidiaries/affiliates
  • Other various members in the Basic Materials and Performance Materials Business Unit and relevant corporate divisions such as Legal, Finance, Accounting, Corporate Admin, Risk Management etc.

Skills / Knowledge:

  • Good communication skills (speaking, listening, and writing) in English.
  • Good teamwork skills whilst having the ability to work independently.
  • Advanced command of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, etc.
  • Willingness to travel and entertain customers/suppliers when required.
  • Knowledge of the commodities and the industries
