Position summary:
- To lead the implementation of both short-term and long-term organizational strategic goals by applying project management knowledge, skills and attitude.
- The position plays an important part in transforming strategies from paper to reality, by ensuring the right execution of strategic projects within the defined constraints.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Staff Development-
- Build a team of highly motivated individuals, define training plans, conduct coaching, mentoring and motivation. Develop and implement a culture of quality, effective teamwork and a healthy work environment to ensure the best outcomes.
Performance Management-
- Provide goals, direction, support, feedback and reward through the effective PMS implementation complying with the company policy.
- Project Planning
- Prepare the adequate action plans and projects’ KPIs to guarantee effective and timely project completion.
- To define effective reporting system that offers appropriate decision making.
Project Management & Documentation-
- Achieve strategic and operational objectives by providing project management skills and knowledge. Accept the ownership of accomplishing new and different requests. To submit regular status reports with recommendations to the management. To keep full project record and documentation.
Continual Development-
- Explore opportunities to add value to the new projects and ensure full alignment with the strategic plans of introducing new products and services to DMC’s Portfolio and ensure a balanced development/growth in all areas of concern.
Relationship Management-
- To fully engage all the projects’ stakeholders and in turn maintain strong and lasting business relationships.
Budget Control-
- Prepare, monitor & control the projects’ budget to achieve effective results that align with the company’s financial plans.
Cost Control-
- Ensure overheads are controlled and costs and expenses are minimized by effective utilization of resources to achieve optimal cost control.
Qualification:
- University degree in Engineering, Business Management or a closely related field
- PMP Certification/ International Project Management Accreditation (Desirable)
- MBA/master’s degree in related Management Practice (Desirable)
Experience:
- Minimum 5-year work experience in a related field
- Minimum 2-year work experience in a supervisory role
- African Region / Middle East experience
