Summary:

We are looking for a passionate, self-driven and experienced professional to join our team as the Performance & Career Lead. The individual will be tasked with leading various programs and initiatives to drive the organization’s performance and warrant continuous development for the staff within the organization.

He/she will work closely with the HR Manager and Business Heads to ensure the organization meets its people development needs. The person will support the implementation of the organizational policies and standard operating procedures to ensure proper staff development, succession planning and team alignment business results

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Strategic alignment – Develop and deliver various leadership development & retention programs to drive succession planning for critical roles as well as employee motivation.
  • Design, develop and lead the implementation of the career development strategy connecting it to the business strategy and HR Strategy.

Business Advisory:

  • Counsel the business in identifying process improvements, review policies and procedures as well as other service innovation changes that would improve the employee experience.
  • Integrate the talent, learning & performance development and career planning initiatives with the business plan and HR value chain whilst providing advice to the HRM and executive team to drive the sustainable competitive advantage for the organization.

Budgeting:

  • Lead the development of a training and development budget in line with the targeted programs; manage and monitor the utilization of this budget.
  • Performance Management – Define the organizational performance management philosophy and create the processes and systems to best support the business. Partner with business unit leaders to develop and conduct talent roundtables, succession planning, and high-potential development programs.

Program Development & Implementation:

  • Lead the development of all soft skills training, including career development activities to support talent management and progression.
  • Audit the learner experience to identify improvement opportunities with content organization and deployment.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of employee orientation and onboarding programs to ensure new hires have an optimal experience while obtaining feedback.
  • Lead strategic organization-wide projects focused on the development of high teams and young leaders in line with the performance culture.

Content Management:

  • Direct the development of a training repository within the organization and have oversight of content repositories.
  • Continuously upload, organize, publish, review, and update archived training content to deliver updated development programs in line with changing staff needs and market trends.

Needs Analysis:

  • Lead the design of different assessment tools to provide a continuous diagnosis of training needs and determine skills gaps within any part of the business, acting as the Subject Matter Expert and delivering specific and targeted development plans & programs.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify training needs for their teams and trends within the business.
  • Stakeholder Management – Work closely with the management team to deliver continuous performance management approach including regular performance one on one sessions and planning process.
  • Present to the management team and other key stakeholders on the effectiveness of the performance and capability building initiatives.

Compliance:

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance to performance management policies and procedures.

Skills & Experienced Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent fields of study. Masters’ degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or strategy is an added advantage
  • A higher Diploma in Human Resources. CHRP is an added advantage
  • 3 – 5 years progressive experience developing and delivering various performance, talent development and career planning initiatives in a fast -paced environment
  • Demonstrated skill with adult learning techniques, instructional design, presentation, facilitation, and consultation skills
  • Proven success in the design and delivery of learning and development programs
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, coordinate, implement and manage complex or multiple projects and tasks in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Strong appreciation and understanding of various performance management systems in the market
  • Highly proficient in MS Suite
  • Ability to implement and deliver change initiatives through learning.
