Description:

• Practice administrator required for an Optometry Practice in Midrand. Must have administration and customer relations experience.
• Must have contactable references.
• The incumbent will be required to assist with or implement both laboratory and field-based trials at the client.
• They will be required to oversee all temporary and permanent workers involved in data collection to ensure that the data is collected and recorded accurately.
• They will also be responsible for assisting with trial management and data capture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementation of production and field trials as per written and agreed-upon protocols: Prepare materials for trials.
• Accurate collection and recording of trial data.
• Oversee all temporary and permanent staff working on a research project.
• May be required to set up, calibrate and maintain laboratory and/or field research equipment.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Experience / Knowledge / Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Entomology or related science field.
• Communication in both English and Afrikaans.
• Valid code B driver’s license.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of research methodologies and suitable technical Skills. Computer literacy – Microsoft word and excel is essential.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Data collection and analysis. Willingness to work over weekends and public holidays when required to do so.
