Southern African Fruit Terminals (SAFT) is looking for an Operational Coordinator

Duties:

Reporting directly to the Cold Store Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Meeting daily operational targets
• Optimal productivity
• Efficient space utilisation in the cold store
• Managing Supervisors, Shift Controllers and Team Leaders
• Overtime and absenteeism management
• Disciplinary action
• Stock control
• Compliance to PPECB, DAFF and SAFT protocols.
• OHSA compliance
• Incident investigation
• General housekeeping

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Relevant tertiary qualification in operational management
• 5 years relevant experience
• Afrikaans and English literate
• Solid IR knowledge & experience
• Driver’s license & own transport
• Must be willing to operate at any company site

Skills & Competencies:

• Interpersonal communication with people at all levels
• Must be able to work in a team and under pressure
• Conflict management and problem-solving skills
• Sound Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, internal systems in the fruit industry and operational protocols
• Computer Literate (MS Office, Paltrack, Jarrison Time)
