Hello Work is hiring for Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Read preliminary designs.
• Compile a bill of quantities and labor.
• Use technical knowledge of mechanical work to master a variety of cost estimating activities.
• Review client specifications and advise Operations Director of any extraordinary requirements that can significantly impact the project cost estimate.
• Ensure that the client’s requirements are properly addressed in the proposal.
• Monitor project during design development and provide on-going follow through during the subsequent execution of the project.
• Assist with the preparation, coordination, review, and distribution of mechanical estimates including instrument costs and electrical equipment costs.
• Obtain competitive quotes from suppliers and contractors for major equipment as required, assistance will be provided by the Supply Chain Manager.
• Travel to project sites to provide cost engineering support (site meetings).
• Attend project kick off meeting with mechanical team(s) and brief team on how costing was compiled. Costing of variation orders.
• Planning of materials required for large scale projects.
• Compile detailed manufacturing drawings for production purposes.
• Responsible for site measurement valuations along with all relevant documentation.
• Meet with Contracts Manager or Supervisor on site for design purposes.
• Ensure drawing designs is current to the project installation and up to date. Compile project documentation which includes weld maps, datasheets, drawing updates, bill of materials and spare parts list etc. Implementation of ISO policies, procedures, and documentation.

Qualification and Experience: National Diploma or BTech in Mechanical Engineering.

• Inventor/AutoCAD
• Outlook
• Experience in designing estimating (quoting) & project support essential
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in relevant field
• Must be willing to travel and work out of town when required
• Valid Code 08 Driver’s License & Own Vehicle.
