iamtheCODE is the first African-led global movement to mobilize governments, the private sector, philanthropic foundations, investors, and civil society to advance STEAMED (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, Entrepreneurship and Design) education. Its goal is to mobilize these groups to invest in future technologies that can drive sustainable development for women and girls in marginalized communities.

Job Type: Short Term Placement

Education: Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Qualifications: Experience of digital marketing, advertising, mass communications or similar subjects.

About the placement:

We are looking for students to complete a short two-week work placement focused on generating creative digital marketing content. You will be responsible for analysing the performance of previous content, understanding the target market’s motivations, and creating a new content and delivery calendar to meet our needs. Working alongside the marketing function of the business you will have the chance to hone your skills and learn more about working in digital marketing whilst adding real value to the business.

Key activities:

• Analyse the current marketing data to understand what works and what does not.
• Build an editorial calendar considering your audiences/ brand guidelines and available channels.
• Generate content for the business – to be used over the next few months.
• Set up a social media management suite – so the content is rolled out automatically.
