About:

Our client, an international investment firm is seeking a top tier international Anglo-Saxon lawyer with finance/ M&A/ capital markets experience to be based in Dubai. A background in corporate finance transactions, including investments involving convertible loan notes and other types of short-term debt financings, equity lines and similar products is required. The role entails frequent work on the financing of financially stressed listed entities through convertible loan notes, being prepared to take material stakes in the borrowers if they cannot redeem the debt.

Candidate Requirements:

• Mid-Level Associate going on 5 years’ experience or possibly a UK 2 – 3 yrs. pqe star.
• Top tier international Anglo-Saxon lawyer.
• UK or French qualified ideal.
• UK qualification not imperative, rather UK experience is important – candidates should be familiar with UK law. Experience in Paris would be a plus.
• Training from a top international law firm or leading local firm.
• Native English speaker preferred as the client requires strong and impeccable drafting skills in English.

• Strong personality required to work effectively with investment targets.
• The instincts of an M&A lawyer are appreciated, although the role is more capital markets work.
• Enjoys achieving the outcomes and delivering the best results.
