Afriforesight is the largest independent cost & commodity forecasting house in Africa. We are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated junior researcher to join us in our quest to provide cutting-edge researched forecasts on chemicals for mining and industry. You will be supported by our industry and economic experts.
Your job focus will be the study of global markets for chemicals used in mining and industrial processes. The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer and clear thinker who can translate complex ideas into simple language. You may also eventually be called on to present your findings to clients and feature at our seminars/conferences. You must be able to understand the basics of mining process engineering.
Minimum requirements:
- Honour’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical engineering degree, from a recognised major research university
- Be able to write reports in any official South African language excluding English.
- A passion for business, the mining and industrial environment and a current understanding of the unfolding geopolitical events will be a distinct advantage.
