About:
Our client, a leading manufacturer of flavours for the food and beverage industries in Wellington, is looking to appoint a Cost Accountant who recently graduated with a relevant B Degree. The successful person should work together with the financial staff of the company to provide accounting support to management who establish the budgets and targets for the company.
Duties:
- Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs
- Setting standard costs of manufactured goods
- Developing and analyzing cost standards
- Performing account reconciliations
- Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management
- Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
- Advising management on appropriate costing based on financial data.
Experience and Qualifications:
- A recently graduated person who has completed a B Degree in Cost Accounting.
- No or little work experience is required.
- Must have good analytical and communications skills.
- Should have own transport to commute to work on a daily basis.
