Job Description:

Full-time/part-time with on-site (for full-time only) & off-site positions available. We offer an educational internship to supplement and help complete requirements for your college courses. This is an unpaid internship offered with a small daily stipend. The Wildlife Education Internship includes lessons in the daily care of exotic animals, including cleaning, feeding, habitat maintenance, medical care, and husbandry, and participation in our Education Program offered through our field trip program, private tour program & open to the public days.

• Species you will be working with include, but not limited to black bears, white lions, kangaroos, lemurs, camels, monkeys, African crested porcupines, sloths, and many more. The program is 12 weeks in length with ability to apply for extensions.
• The start and end dates are flexible. Simply state your available start and finish dates on your application.
• Onsite positions are for full-time interns. Housing is available at no charge for full-time interns. Onsite positions assist with medical care and baby feedings after hours.
• Off-site positions minimum 32 hours.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years old or older to apply.
• Must be of good health and physical endurance.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Must be willing to listen and follow directions.
• Must be responsible and willing to work hard.
• Must love working with animals and people.
