African Dream Lodge’s is looking for a Housekeeper/Cleaner
About Us:
- The African Dreams, in the village of Ticehurst is an award-winning boutique hotel, pub, restaurant and wedding venue situated on the Kent/Sussex border.
- Multi award winning and an AA 4-star Gold Accreditation.
- 50 seat restaurants renowned for serving contemporary English food, 11 bedrooms including 4 lodges, based on local Oast houses.
- Popular venue for weddings for up to 70 guests, intimate dinners, parties, lunches, and gatherings.
- Comedy/film nights, Spring & Winter fairs along with a Summer music festival.
- Development plan over the next 18 months to include more bedrooms, extended and redecorated function room, extended restaurant, and a new kitchen.

Job Type: Full and Part time
Key Tasks and Accountability:
- To clean hotel rooms quickly, neatly, and efficiently and in line with Standard Operating Procedures
- To ensure that the guest rooms and corridors are clean
- Ensure that function rooms are cleaned as soon as they have been used
- Ensure that VIP rooms received the designated extras
- To maintain neat and clean cart, equipment, storage rooms and supplies
- To maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards guests and staff
- To maintain a clean and professional appearance
Experience:
- Hotel, restaurant, or pub experience preferred
- Enthusiasm to progress
- Eager to learn
- Cleaning-1 year (Preferred)
- Experience working in busy working environment
Days / Hours:
- Opening times cover breakfast, lunch and dinner midweek and weekends
- Evening and weekend work required
