Description:
Manufacturing company in Polokwani requires an experienced Factory/ Production manager to run a new branch. Experience in the timber / saw milling industry will be beneficial and must have good leadership skills, planning and management skills.
Duties will include:
- Setting and monitoring production targets.
- Full management of 30 to 50 employees.
- Basic understanding of machinery and electrical.
- Basic computer skills, emails, excel, word etc.
- Stock control, purchasing of consumables, must be able to run the factory and all components of the factory by themselves and provide daily feedback to head office.
- Hands on personality as main role will be on the factory floor.
- Quality control, Supplier negotiations, Staff recruitment/ Basic HR functions and able to represent the company at CCMA, conduct disciplinary hearings, pay roll etc.
- Must be reliable and of sober habits and willing to work overtime and weekends when required. Candidate will manage the branch alone with virtual support from head office.
