Hiring for a Factory Accountant

Requirements:
- An excellent opportunity exists within this successful manufacturing company for a candidate with a proven track record (5-10 years) in cost & management accounting, covering production costing and planning.
- A relevant degree/diploma in Cost & Management Accounting, coupled with excellent Excel skills, knowledge of ERP systems (Syspro or similar), and bar code scanning would be an advantage.
Duties:
- Some essential functions include Product costing, Overhead costing, and unit cost.
- Efficiency and cost reduction.
- Overseeing full costing function – Standard costing.
- Analyse operational and Bills of Material costs.
- Analyse inventory movements and reports.
- Identify possible opportunities for gross margin improvement.
- Responsible for variance analyses.
- Assist and identify cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist with maintenance and set-up of Master data and Bills of Material.
- Oversee the production planning to meet delivery expectations.
- Assist with managing the ERP process.
- Monthly and quarterly reporting.
