Glow by Daye is looking for an Executive/Admin Assistant for Emerging Natural Hair Care Brand

Location: USA

Job Type: Part-time, Temporary, Internship

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience: Google Suite/Gmail: 1 year (Preferred)

Requirements:

  • A recent college grad with intellectual curiosity and a penchant for learning new things.
  • Someone interested, knowledgeable, and ready to engage in the natural, textured hair community
  • A Person with a strong work ethic, able to adapt to changing environments easily, and energetic, positive personality
  • A person with excellent organizational and analytical capabilities who is a self-starter

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Duties: Scheduling, email and correspondence management with customers, founder and organization, google docs and other digital files, document management, office management, Customer service, inventory management (some mild labor required, must be able to lift 40+ pounds).
  • Business Infrastructure: Analyse, recommend, and implement various enterprise technology solutions.
  • Fulfilment of orders and inventory management
  • Assistance to organization in daily tasks and requests

Qualifications:

  • 0-5 years professional experience.
  • Interest in working with start-ups is a must.
  • Interest in engaging African American, Latinx, multicultural, ethnic, etc. natural hair community is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S., or similar) is a plus.
  • Highly responsive and Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, communication, and writing skills is a must.
  • Strong understanding of social media marketing and able to multitask different applications
  • Adaptable and resourceful in a start-up environment.
  • Service-Oriented.
  • A master multi-tasker – you need to be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects.
  • A self-starter and problem solver
  • Working closely and staying highly communicative with founder/CEO
  • Self-reliant – able to handle large amounts of ambiguity (Google will be a valuable resource…).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word Doc) and Google applications (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive etc.). Familiarity with other systems is a HUGE plus including Shopify, email marketing services, etc
  • Start-up background or experience working in small teams (highly desired, but not required).
