The First Baptist Church of South Richmond is a large, multi-campus church with a predominantly African American congregation. We stress ministry and not maintenance so that our members can discover their spiritual gifts and utilize them to the glory of God.

Do you have a heart for youth? Great! The Director of Youth Ministry will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of programs and activities to encourage the spiritual formation of youth.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising youth volunteers who participate in church wide projects and events
• Building and fostering meaningful relationships with youth
• Involving parents and guardians by including them in church activities and leading them to assist in the spiritual development of the youth; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least one (1) year of experience working with youth ages 5 – 18
• Demonstrated planning skills and the ability to lead Youth Ministry Bible Study and related events/meetings
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency with technology including social media and virtual platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Seminary degree
• Experience as Director of Youth Ministry, Youth Pastor, or related position
