Description:
A well-established national transport company requires a qualified and seasoned Diesel Mechanic/Team Leader to manage and operate our workshops.
Duties:
- Ability to manage and run workshop flow daily.
- Schedule repairs and maintenance for LDV’s, HMV,s and trailers.
- Engine and gearbox overhaul experience is a must.
- Manage job card allocation.
- Manage parts from stores and OEM’s.
- Manage interbranch repairs/jobs Manage, schedule and co-ordinate breakdowns with OEM or fleet support crew including after hours.
- Co-ordinate OEM RFCs and consignment stocks.
- Manage fleet tyre program with tyre crew.
- Manage workshop according to ISO 9001 and OEM standard.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience OEM/Trade workshop experience.
- Relevant trade certificates.
- Experience in the logistics industry would be an advantage.
- Own Transport Must reside within 40 Km of workshop Problem-solving skills, analytical and attention to detail on trucks and trailers
- Sound knowledge of diagnostics systems for Mercedes and MAN.
