About:

Mychopchop is an online African grocery store that delivers African groceries into homes within the GTA, KWC regions and its environs. We are looking for an energetic driver that can work with our team to make these deliveries possible.

Location: Canada

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule:

• On call
• Weekends

Experience:

• Driver- 1 year (Preferred)
• Delivery driver- 1 year (Preferred)

Description:

Our delivery drivers are responsible for providing efficient and safe delivery of boxes to our customers within the GTA, KWC regions and its environs. Our drivers deliver orders to the appropriate destination within a scheduled time. They are expected to provide professional customer service. Also, hours are flexible.

Responsibilities:

• Providing efficient and safe delivery of boxes to our customers within the GTA, Peel, KWC and Guelph areas
• Drives the company van for deliveries.
• Our drivers deliver orders to the appropriate destination within a scheduled time.
• Provide professional customer service
• Loading the delivery vehicle from a staging area
• Delivering to residential locations
• Delivering to commercial locations
• Heavy lifting

Education and Qualifications:

• A minimum of one year driving experience
• No degree required
• Must have a valid G driver license
• Ability to clearly communicate and read in English
• Must be able to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and Holidays
• Must be able to work a flexible shift (mornings and/or evenings)
• Must be able to deliver orders up to 30 lbs in weight to the appropriate destination within a scheduled time (this may include walking up or down several flights of stairs)
• Must be comfortable interacting with customers
• Must have a strong commitment to customer service and safety
• Comfort / familiarity with basic smartphone operations
• Ability to utilize smartphones for two-way communication with our Operations Team
• Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions independently
