Responsibilities:

Market Analysis-

  • Studying information to ensure that our company makes informed decisions about our market and understands market conditions.
  • Digesting large quantities of information and making determinations on the relevancy of information.
  • Extracting appropriate sales and brand information from internal and external sources, to compile and convert analysis into relevant and insightful information.

Processing and Presenting Sales and Marketing Data-

  • Assisting in the assessment of customer and market. performance, by providing monthly sales reports.
  • Reporting on competitor data, to assess our own performance levels.
  • Assisting our brand managers with specific brand-related data, to allow them the best possible understanding of brand performance.
  • Developing of ad hoc sales rep incentive and sales charter reports.
  • Compiling reports and presentations based on the analysis completed, in written reports and presentations.
  • Clearly and professionally presenting information to our team.
  • Providing of one-pager / snap shot reports to our sales director.

Sales and Marketing Data Management-

  • Organising and preparing for meetings between our team and relevant data providers.
  • Verifying quality of internal data.
  • Training of team members in the correct use of data systems.

Requirements:

  • BCom Management Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience (FMCG / Liquor Industry Experience)
  • High level of exposure to ERP systems (with clear sales data aspects); SAP and Click Patterns (Data Orbis, Qlik View and Qlik Sense, beneficial)
  • Excellent Excel and broad statistical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A passion for data analysis
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while using initiative
  • Endurance and ability to tolerate extended hours
  • High attention to detail, sense of urgency and able to work within a dynamic environment
