Our client, who inter alia specializes in Drone Analytics through gathering high tech data by Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV – Drones), is looking to appoint a Business Developer to establish and grow the company’s Drone Analytics business segment across various industries in South Africa. The ideal candidate must have entrepreneurial spirit and be attracted to a start-up environment to operate in.
Job Description:
The successful person will help the company’s customers to optimize their maintenance budget of industrial installations through 3 types of services:
- Data acquisition using drones
- Data processing
- Development of recommendations based on the data gathered and processed.
These services are already rendered by the company in Europe, and various southern African countries and the objective is for the Business Developer to start its activity in South Africa. The mission of the Business Developer is to establish a sound Marketing plan and implement it ; to visit prospects and clients across South Africa; to assist and answer to all client related queries; to set up proposals and commercial offers; gather BI; communicate and advertise on relevant platforms; handle marketing aspects of development; and being able to operate drones.
Requirements:
- An experience drone pilot with preferably a valid Drone licence
- A degree in engineering or commercial field
- 5 to 10 years professional experience in the commercial field and/or engineering, industrial fields; ready to start a business, entrepreneurship spirit; independent, agile, assertive and go-getter; innovative and curious about new technologies
- Able to travel around domestically
- Fluent in English/Afrikaans
- Should have excellent communication skills.
