Responsibilities:
Mission-
- Changing Polycare’s overall BD strategy and execution from passive (waiting for leads) to active (gain and develop our own leads) with focus on the African Market
- Identifying strategic markets by analysing the African countries – holistic evaluation model still to be created
- Creating the concepts and leading the execution for the go-to-market / marketing approaches (adapted to the market respectively)
- From analysis to conceptualisation to execution – end 2 end responsibility
- Strategic development of our partner network with focus on international institutions (GIZ, DEG, World Bank, IFC, etc.), local market makers as well as to investing institutions and entrepreneurs
- Identifying new opportunities and innovative solutions to grow the existing business
- Acting as an interface to external and internal teams (e.g., content management, marketing, agencies, etc.) who are responsible for creating the relevant content (e.g., texts) for internal and external Polycare communication
- Conducting meetings with leads that became aware of Polycare / are quite early in the sales journey
- Constantly improving the Polycare sales journey
- Keeping the Polycare fam in the loop of all ongoing initiatives and activities and actively fostering our company culture
Requirements:
- Experienced in international Business Development
- Start-up Mentality
- Agile Thinking (build, measure, learn)
- Strong analytical skills
- Fluency in the English language (both written and verbal)
- Nice to have
- Experienced with DFIs
- Experience in the emerging markets
- French language skills
