Description:

We are looking to expand our Board of Directors. No prior Board experience is needed, we are seeking committed, hands-on community leaders such as lawyers, accountants, medical/health practitioners, public relations experts, individuals with business experience, as well as a love for education and African Children.

Job Role:

• The board members set policies, develop financial resources, plan, evaluate program activities, fundraising, budgeting, special events, and develop human resource.
• Become a committed leader in a working board and assist in the development of Wings of the Dawn through strategic planning. The Children of Africa need you!

Skills:

• Preferably Live in Dallas/Fort Worth Metropolitan Texas-Will consider virtual member with required skills and interest in the mission, expertise in literacy, public relations, law, organizational development, fundraising, Business skills or financial planning.
• High energy, a “do-er”
• Strong local network a plus Applicant must be serious and able to attend meetings appx. every month, to be held in Fort Worth Texas via teleconference or in person if you are local.
