Delaware College of Art and Design is looking for an Art History Adjunct Faculty
About DCAD:
The Delaware College of Art and Design (DCAD) in Wilmington, DE is the only two-year art and design college in the country, and Delaware’s first and only professional art and design school. DCAD offers the Associate of Fine Arts degree (AFA) which prepares students for transfer to Bachelor of Fine Arts degree programs at many distinguished art and design schools. Completion of requirements for the AFA may be accomplished through two years of full-time study.
DCAD is seeking an adjunct art history faculty member to teach introductory course(s) in non-western art history that supports a global perspective and survey of Asian, African, and Pre-Columbian American cultures, in addition to supporting learning of program competencies through meaningful interaction with students inside and outside the classroom. This opening is for multiple, 3-credit courses to be taught online during between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm for the Spring 2021 semester.

Responsibilities:
- Teach a course load of least one and no more than three courses per semester.
- Use an official DCAD syllabus to design instruction that supports program competencies and student learning outcomes.
- Evaluate student work, post student progress, and provide grades in the manner and time prescribed.
- Receive direction and supervision from the Liberal Arts Program Chair.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of Student Learning Outcomes Assessment (SLOA).
- Participate, as appropriate, in events important to the life of the institution and its students, including faculty meetings, college-wide committees, guest artist lectures.
- Adhere to College policies and procedures.
- Hold assigned class meetings and weekly online video conference office hours.
