Description:

We are looking for an Area Manager to join our dynamic sales team. Our sales team is the heart of Ayapa’s rapidly growing operations network. You will be leading workflows of the sales operations of your team and contributing towards business growth. Our sales team will be responsible for managing distribution (activation and sales) of products across the retail and other business networks.

About the Role and Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible as a leader to develop the given areas whilst ensuring the teams achieve the given sales target and revenue growth.
  • You will be responsible to manage the company’s brand value and delivering high standards of customer services to our clients across the given areas.
  • You will ensure that there is an effective vertical communication flow whilst sharing and promoting best practices with your colleagues and network partners.
  • Ensure that the staffing level is always kept at the required level including ensuring recruitment and training of new staffs.
  • As a leader make sure to lead cross functional teams and identify any bottlenecks in the operations earlier and remove the hindrances for smooth operations.
  • Take full responsibility to ensure that the team is fully equipped with relevant training and reporting methods.
  • Analyse and take corrective measures on day-today activities including gathering market data and research on any new and existing products and services in the market.
  • You will drive the training and integration of your team, while motivating and inspiring forward progress.
  • All the while, you will exercise good judgment, making sure progress and critical metric targets are worked towards and met.

Basic qualification and Skills:

  • You hold a degree in business administration, logistics or in a related field, or you have an equivalent qualification
  • A great teammate, you thrive when working with others,
  • You have previous experience as a manager, involving sizable teams; you are a natural at motivating others around you,
  • You demonstrate problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • You are a quick thinker, able to act tactfully in a dynamic environment,
  • Excellent Sales and Negotiation Skills.
  • You are willing and able to work to flexible schedules and shifts you always commit the time required to get the job done.
  • Multilingual in European, African, South Asian languages would be an added advantage.
