Uriel’s Diner is hiring for an African/Caribbean chef

Job Profile:

Must be able to cook African and Caribbean food. As well as an all rounded chef that can cook some UK/US inspired dishes too. Uriel’s Diner chef will be the main cook, however assisted with the managers recipe you would need to prepare meals for the customers that meets the managers satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Cook African and Caribbean food.
  • Cook other UK/US food with African twist.
  • Maintain cleaning standards of the kitchen and work area.
  • Pass the taste test.
  • Personal and food hygiene knowledge.

Additional Pay: Bonus Scheme

Benefits: Flexible Schedule

Schedule: 8 Hour Shift (Day shift Monday to Friday and weekends off)

COVID-19 considerations:

Face masks and hand gloves will be provided for you. An apron will also be provided. Outside and indoor kitchen area for social distancing. 2-meter social distance rules in full practice.

Experience:

Chef: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Duties:

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
  • Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards

Additional Duties:

  • Menu planning
  • Recording food temperatures
  • Preparing reports
