About:
A reputable workshop based in Alberton is currently looking for an experienced and qualified Automotive Technician to join their team. The perfect candidate for this position must have at least 4 years of experience as a technician and must have previous experience in different brands- servicing and repairs.
Requirements:
- Matric Certification.
- Must have at least 4 years of experience as an auto technician.
- Qualification is suitable for trade.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
- A fast learner.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.
- Team Player.
- Able to maintain working space in an orderly and clean manner energetic
Responsibilities:
- Engine rebuilding/ replacing.
- Performing work specified on the repair order with efficiency and by automotive standards.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicating directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
- Providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
- Executing repairs to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform emissions inspections, safety checks, and similar Bosch-regulated vehicle examinations.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
- Possess a valid state driver’s license for conducting test drives.
Skills:
- Ability to identify problems quickly, Good knowledge of a wide range of vehicles, both diesel and petrol, Effective analytical and communication skills, Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
- Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Automotive Technician skills and qualifications.
- Trade Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Experience using hand and power tools to replace and repair parts Coordination.
