About:

A reputable workshop based in Alberton is currently looking for an experienced and qualified Automotive Technician to join their team. The perfect candidate for this position must have at least 4 years of experience as a technician and must have previous experience in different brands- servicing and repairs.

Requirements:

• Matric Certification.
• Must have at least 4 years of experience as an auto technician.
• Qualification is suitable for trade.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• A fast learner.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Team Player.
• Able to maintain working space in an orderly and clean manner energetic

Responsibilities:

• Engine rebuilding/ replacing.
• Performing work specified on the repair order with efficiency and by automotive standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicating directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
• Providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
• Executing repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform emissions inspections, safety checks, and similar Bosch-regulated vehicle examinations.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license for conducting test drives.

Skills:

• Ability to identify problems quickly, Good knowledge of a wide range of vehicles, both diesel and petrol, Effective analytical and communication skills, Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Automotive Technician skills and qualifications.
• Trade Certificate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience using hand and power tools to replace and repair parts Coordination.
