Roberts Family Development Center is looking for BLACK CHILD LEGACY CAMPAIGN COMMUNITY INCUBATOR PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Position Purpose:
To coordinate and support the work of the Black Child Legacy Campaign (BCLC) in North Sacramento/Del Paso Heights and across Sacramento County. BCLC is a county wide initiative that addresses the disproportionate rate of African American child death in Sacramento County, by combatting its four leading causes: perinatal conditions, infant sleep- related deaths, child abuse and neglect and third party homicides.
Position Description:
The BCLC Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the program including making connections with community stakeholders and county partners, scheduling, coordinating, and participating in meetings with partners and families, and supporting the North Sacramento/Del Paso Heights Community Incubator Leads role in meeting the goals of the County wide program.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Family Studies/Human Services or related field
- Experience working in community based programming
- Ability to attend all program training and events including those held on evenings and weekends
- Ability to work with a variety of customers, staff members, and partner agencies
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Docs/Sheets
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and multitask
Requirements: Graphic Design Experience
Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with other BCLC Community Incubators, Community Based Agencies, and Sacramento County Agencies
- Assist in Planning, Organizing, Coordinating, and Facilitating Program Activities including Multidisciplinary Team Meetings (MDT), Community Leadership Roundtable Meetings, Case Management Meetings, Community Outreach/Engagement Events, and Youth Participatory Action Research Projects
- Complete Intakes and Referrals and Case Manage Multiple African American Families needing services who live in the 95838/95815 zip codes
- Draft Mini Grantee and Partner MOU’s
- Create and Distribute BCLC Communications
- Cross Train Bachelor’s and Master’s Social Work Student Interns
Education: Bachelor’s (Preferred)
Experience:
- Community development: 1 year (Preferred)
- Human service: 1 year (Preferred)
