Position Summary

Life Pieces to Masterpieces is currently seeking a responsible and dependable transportation associate who can operate our vehicles and facilitate the pick-up and drop-off of our boys (Apprentices). The Transportation Associate is a part-time position, requiring flexible hours, and operating Monday through Friday and occasionally on weekends. Vehicles will be provided by Life Pieces and will be housed on-site at Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary School.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a valid CDL driver’s license class A, B, or C.
• Must have a mobile phone.
• Good character and a positive work history.
• Good driving record.
• Consent to a background check.
• No pending driving convictions related to alcohol or drug use.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Student Transportation-

• Transport only authorized students in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate program van and transport students between pickup points, school and homes or to various events and activities.
• Follow safe driving routes and maintain vigilance in potentially distracting situations.
• Take responsibility for the safety and timely pick-up and drop-off of the boys.
• Other duties as assigned.

On-site-

• Acts as the face of Life Pieces to Masterpieces and greets guests accordingly.
• Ensures a smooth traffic flow of students through the hallways, assisting students with arrival to class and assigned locations. May need to collaborate with om-site security guard.
• Assists parents and guardians in locating the appropriate classrooms or main office.
• Manages visitors by securing proper identification and providing direction, as necessary.
