Candidates must know AP Style and have some print journalism experience. Candidates must be familiar with the African American community. Good writing style, grammar and spelling are important for the position. Candidates should possess an interested in in-depth research, including interviews and requesting documents, photos, and other materials. Team meetings are mandatory and will be held on Fridays.

This position would be idea for a new journalism graduate or a college student within a year of graduation.
