Transport Provided: Provided – To and from company accommodation to work

Housing Provided: Housing provided. The accommodation provided is in the more relaxed Ajman (the neighboring emirate to Sharjah). About 15 minutes from the place of work.

Working week: 48-hour week in accordance with the UAE Labour Law. Working hours may be allocated in accordance with the required shift work.

Probationary Period: 180 days as per UAE Labour Law

Qualifications (Full-time Studies): Bachelor Degree in Nursing (min 3 years course duration) + Licensed as a RN-Registered Nurse from home country and/or country of the last job

Experience:

  • Must have at least 2 years of post-grad experience. Must have management experience as a PEDIATRIC EMERGENCY CHARGE NURSE/HEAD NURSE/SUPERVISOR experience.

General responsibilities:

Under general direction organizes/provides patient care to a group of patients. Assumes primary responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. Co-ordinates the overall clinical activities of an assigned nursing unit on a specific shift. Provides clinical leadership and performs ongoing staff nurses’ assessments as required.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Managing a patient care unit for administrative and clinical aspects to include organizing, developing, directing, and assuring the delivery of cost-effective quality patient care.
  • Ensure that patient care is delivered in accordance with established hospital-wide policies and procedures and nursing standards.
  • Delegate responsibilities appropriate to the scope of practice, qualification, and training of the staff.
  • Provides education to staff based on theoretical and clinical experience.
  • Evaluate nursing personnel performance based on the organization’s objectives, professional practice, standards, relevant statistics, and regulation criteria.
  • Ensure clinical resources and continuity of patient care.
  • Supports the development of clinical pathways and clinical practice guidelines through utilization data and analysis within the clinical unit.
  • Organizes and ensures implementation of the department’s policies and procedures.
  • Regularly reports, as required, on the KPIs that are to be reported upon regarding the activities in the Department.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship and ongoing communications with medical staff and other department heads.
  • Ensures the Department / Clinical Unit Manager is informed of and aware of significant events and activities in the area(s) of responsibility.
  • Ensures ICML is informed of and aware of significant events and activities in the area(s) of responsibility and ensure collection and compilation of all documentations, IP and other relevant information about ICML activities within the Department as may be required by ICML.
  • Provides input to the monthly reports to be produced by the Clinical Director to the ICML Project Manager and to ICML on the activities of the Department with particular emphasis on the activities of the ICML Staff at the Department for the preceding month highlighting areas of success, areas of deficiency and forecasting possible future encumbrances including laying out the steps for overcoming the same with the aim of providing safe and efficient healthcare services
  • Generally, has a duty of care to ICML and works with and works with and cooperates fully with ICML and the ICML Project Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Agreement between ICML’s Client and ICML
  • Performs other professional duties as may be assigned within his/her scope and ability.
  • Responsible for making resourcing, staffing, bed management decisions. Oversight for patient care and 1st level staffing decisions by those directly in charge of a shift. Responsible for the efficient use of equipment and supplies for the unit. Responsible for working collaboratively with others to solve problems, provide care, and improve the provision of patient care.
  • Responsible for collection, and improvements of key performance indicators for the unit
